Rochester Area User Groups

Apple CIDER is Rochester, NY’s oldest and largest Apple User Group. Our main purpose is educational; we demonstrate, inform, and instruct in the use of Apple computing technology. Since 1978, Apple CIDER has had a dedicated staff of volunteers who maintain the organization and help run meetings. Whether you’ve been using a Mac for years or just bought your first MacBook or iPad just last week, come and expand the horizons of your Apple world. Meetings are generally the 2nd Wednesday of the month at East High School, 1801 East Main St.

Linux User Group of Rochester (LUGOR)

While the history of LUGOR is a bit murky we know for certain that the domain name was reserved in June of 1995. LUGOR was formed by a group of people who had a common interest in Linux and free software. We are a diverse group composed of people just exploring Linux to advanced hackers that are coding their own applications on Linux.

Rochester Computer Society

The Rochester Computer Society is a non-profit group open for membership to anyone interested in computers, though our emphasis is on IBM compatibles. We have monthly program meetings as well as Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings. The majority of our members are computer novices, but we have a number of people with intermediate knowledge and even a few experts.

Rochester Googles
