How do i recover an old Yahoo Mail Account, which, i, believe is still active.
I set it up about 7 years ago, changed computers, forgot the user-name and password, so i can't log in to it.
Thank You,

I would forget about that old account from long ago and open up a new Yahoo e mail account. I am pretty sure that unused accounts get deleted from time to time by Yahoo. _________________

If I'm not mistaken any account no matter where it is if there is no activity in a years time, they kill it.
They think it might be a spammer. _________________ Don't let your mouth write a check your a$$ can't cash.

I think they also usually block trying to re-open an account with an email address that's been deleted. In other words, if you had an account you let go dormant and it was deleted, they won't allow the re-opening of a new account using the same email address. They seem ready to block "already used" dormant email addresses until the end of time. _________________ Ash

| I think your out of luck. My brother passed away a few years ago. We wanted to clear out his Yahoo account and delete it. Yahoo didn't even have the common decency to respond to my requests. Based on what I found out later, Yahoo is very unaccommodating as far as granting access to other's email accounts even if they are deceased. |

Personally, Yahoo is rather unaccommodating period.
Its one of the reasons I moved to Gmail.. the other is that they allow me to set my domain's mail servers direct to a google address which creates a gmail-based mail server for my own domain. _________________

I believe that you need a Yahoo e mail account. It is so very simple to go to Yahoo and open another. Takes maybe all of 5 to 10 minutes ? _________________
