The most popular maker of mice and keyboards, Logitech, doesn’t require a driver for their wireless devices. They include a USB dongle so that the computer thinks a regular wired USB keyboard and mouse are plugged in. They work perfectly fine before the operating system loads.
I use a simple Logitech wireless keyboard here and a Logitech wireless mouse…both plugged into my Dell Laptop. Both devices work perfectly with no issues at all. My laptop is never sitting on my lap…it is always on a table or a desk. I dislike using the mousepad on the laptop and prefer using the Logitech keyboard when I do my two finger typing. 🙂
