Before the site moved, Steve gave me a complete answer regarding syncing mail between an iPad and iMac. I assumed I could go back and view the response, but if they are here, I don’t know where. I’m hopeful Steve will respond again.
I think the answer was that you canNOT sync mail between devices if TWC is your ISP because they only support POP accounts? If you want to sync, you must use a gmail account, forward the @rochester.rr.com mail to gmail [which I know you can do], and set up the gmail account as IMAP. Is that the essence of the answer?
Any hope that TWC will provide IMAP? It seems like not doing that in today’s climate is, well – stupid. But that’s not the first stupid thing TWC did!
