There has been much discussion about file errors with QuickBooks and Quicken on the broadcast. Frankly most of these issues are usually the fault of the user.
You’ll find very little complaint about stability and usability within the Intuit family. In fact Intuits’ stock and trade has been reliability, they have done yeoman’s work in this regard.
The Q generally breaks out it’s functionality into three files: The only one you need to worry about is the .QBW or .QDF extension.

… dire consequences lurk thereafter. The biggest issue is that even though you have shut things down, the program still has work to do. This is a universal condition, slow to assemble, slow to close is always a clue… let em work. Remember, your cloud based back up needs time to collect data and upload it. That can be hours depending on net traffic and server loads.
Most users close things out (especially on weekends) without regard to background functionality. You need to give the system time to upload stuff. Always use the back up function. Your best back up target is your Google Drive.
