On the show, the guys were wondering why “solder” has an l in the middle. It’s a French word, pronounced soul-day, sounding like an african-american holiday. It means “to weld”
Also French is “vacuum”, which has 2 U’s because that’s how they say it — vac-u-um.
And pneumatic has a P because they pronounce that, too.
