Anyone considering dual-booting desktop Linux on their Chromebook might want to check out Crouton, a specialized version of Ubuntu which takes advantage of the fact that both Ubuntu and ChromeOS use Linux. Crouton runs inside a chroot environment so you’re able to quickly switch between Crouton and ChromeOS without rebooting. It’s also worth noting that Crouton was developed by Google, the makers of the Chromebook.
