How do you stop Floating Videos on Facebook and on all other sites?
    Thank You,

Along this line, how do I prevent these things from taking over my audio settings? Case in point, when I go to a news article on my local fish wrapper’s site, they start an endless stream of these videos. While they are down in one corner of the screen — they have audio at 100% volume. If I mute the audio, the next video un-mutes it and puts it right back to max. In many cases the audio has nothing to do with the content, either.

Sure, I can turn the speakers off — but then maybe I forget to turn them back on, and in the meantime I may miss other sounds I might want.

I just read where Google’s Chrome will start allowing users to block this nonsense — starting in January.

There are some extensions that purport to do this, but they don’t work very well, at least in my experience. We’re all waiting to see what Chrome does.
