    I suppose many would argue if you have Internet service, the reality is you should have very little expectation of privacy. I thoroughly understand the want to analyze what at least some people are doing, so that the UX can be improved, but usually such things are consensual. But then again, why hire some UX testers and bring them into your lab (with eye tracking gear and so forth) when you can co-opt your customers?

    The really unfortunate problem is that although the page being analyzed might go to something protected (HTTPS), the keystrokes and mouse movements are not.

    All sorts of shenanigans have been going on a while, unfortunately. Take a look at the wireless carrier supercookies inserted into any unencrypted Web access.
