Hey, Homeland Security – where’s the warning against Flash?

    OK. I quickly uninstalled QuickTime.

Now, how are the NSA people going to monitor everything in my computer? I don’t normally run Win 10 on it.

Any QuickTime I ever did play was with independently developed software, such as MPlayer or VLC and its dependent libraries.

I don’t get why a Windows user would install Quicktime instead of something like VLC.

A couple reasons why users might end up with QuickTime.

First, I think it was the first package to do what people need it for. VLC came along much later (correct me if I’m wrong on that).

Second — it is an Apple product. There are some people that just know that anything by Apple has to be better than anything else out there.

VLC all the way for me. Haven’t used Quicktime in years.
