Sounds like you mow have more than sound problems!
Not sure if you have tried the REPAIR option that may be available at boot up when you whack the F8 key. And, if not, if you have a Windows installation disk, it should be available on one of the first screens when you boot from that.
I think, from what you have said, probably you are maybe stuck in a non-booting Win 7 environment. The repair utility will sometimes figure out what is wrong and maybe correct it. If you can get the Win 7 up, then if you really want Win 10 — that will be another story.
Probably before you do too much, if you have anything of importance on the hard drive you would want to make a backup. In Linux, I like rsync, altho it may get tangled up with some of the Windows file structure.
