Who does those great voice-overs?The mangificently gifted Harry Legg, of course! (and, honest - that's his name!)
What will you do with my email address and IM addressesSee the Sound Bytes Privacy Statement.
What happens if I spam your registered users?Nick is an old hippie - he's harmless. Dave was trained using your tax dollars to not turn the other cheek. Steve is a Mac user - they can snap at any second. We have people in our forums who are not even a little bit understanding about spammers, and have both the willingness and the knowledge to make your life a living hell. Porking off someone who knows more about how the Internet works than you do is contraindicated. We at Sound Bytes have no control over them, of course, and naturally have no opinion on whether or not they should rip your system off the Internet and leave it a heap of smoking slag. All we'll do officially is block your username and IP address from ever using the forums again. But, for heaven's sake, don't get Argyle mad!
How do I keep from being spammed? As it says in the Sound Bytes Privacy Statement, simply don't let people view your email address or Instant Messaging addresses. You have full control (and therefore full responsibility) over whether or not they're viewable. Just Say No!
How do I get an "avatar" in the forums? You must be registered in the Forums (hey, it's free!). When you do, that creates a personal Profile for you. Scroll to the bottom, and you'll see the avatar stuff. Basically, you create or find a graphic that's no larger than 80x80 pixels, and no bigger than about 6K in size. Then you upload it from your machine to the Sound Bytes server in your Forum Profile.
How come when I send you people an email question, I never get an answer? We don't answer questions by email. We answer them on the show, we answer them at live events, we answer them in line at the video store, we answer them when you interrupt us while we're out at dinner with our families, we answer them in line at the movies, Nick will even answer them on his Web site, but we don't answer them by email. It's the last bit of control we have in our lives, and we're hanging on to it with every last erg of our strength!
Can't you just make an exception for --
